First time the bullfinches have posed for the camera for a while now and also the first time they have dined from the same plate. Love is in the air I hope!!!! Not really sure what madam has in her mouth on the top right picture, I'm guessing it's a piece of maize!!!!!

You are so lucky to get Bullfinches in your garden we don't see them at all. When I was a child we always had them in the garden much to my parents annoyance as they used to eat all the buds on the fruit trees. I only live about half a mile away from my childhood home now and have never seen one since.
According to the RSPB they are on the red list so you are fortunate to have them.

I've only ever seen a bullfinch once or twice in my life so I'm ever hopeful.
Lovely pictures of your Bullfinches Jayne, at least you have both male and female, I had two males but no female.
Thanks for your comments folks, yes we are very lucky and very privileged that these two birds have decided to stay with us and yes Sheila babies we are most definitely hoping!!!!
I've heard that before shy songbird but we don't have any fruit trees and to be honest I'd rather have the birds than the fruit lol
